Hoppy Easter!

     Easter 2010                                                                   Easter 2011

Easter is always a fun holiday. Last year was a little more low key for us because Logan was just a couple of months old. However this year was very exciting, The Abernethy's were there to see all the festivities and help with the egg hunt. Jaron collected most of the eggs as he is the oldest boy and very quick. I didn't take near as many pictures as I normally do.....maybe Auntie B or Tante Lauren will have some on there blogs of everyone that was here.

Mitchell and I were up bright and early (5 am) to get the ham in the oven. We prepared a 26 lb ham while everyone else brought the side dishes! Thank you Grandma Peri for those DELICIOUS blackberry scones, next time it will be a double order for sure.

Grandpa brought the tractor by for Logan to take a little ride on after the party, cause the dirtbike adventure during Easter just wasn't enough.

It was a fabulous Easter, watch out next year Jaron, Aj and I will be bringing our game faces for the Easter Egg hunt and we'll have Peanut (baby Kelly) on our team!

Gone Fishin'

Daddy wanted to have Sunday off to go fishin' with the boys, but duty called (or overtime) and he had to go in. Lucky for me mommy isn't afraid to hang with the boys though.....so when Vo set up a fishing trip out at the ranch she loaded me and my toys up promptly after breakfast and headed out to meet up with everyone.

Don't worry I didn't sit in the back of the truck while Vo was driving.....but I did get to help with the butterfly net and I was able to see the cows and all the geese. My favorite part was hanging out with my big cousin or as we call eachother my "partner" all morning. He is so cool! I chatted up a storm to him, and he kept asking mommy, "what is he saying?" She would make something up that would make him laugh, then I would laugh. Well we just kept doing that for hours.

After only being there for 5 minutes (seriously, 5 minutes!!!!!) Aj went head first in the water, Pining (Angelo) grabbed him by the back of his pants and pulled him out. Aj was not happy and was very cold after that. Then Jaron walked the wrong way and went right through muddy cow tracks, his feet sunk so far down that when he pulled his foot out, he lost his shoes!!! Seriously, he LOST his shoes. Vo had to dig them out.

These are my big cousins and I, I love them so much!

We're pretty frickin' cute!

Pictures speak a thousand words!
mommy has tears in her eyes......it is amazing how much my little boy has grown and how loving he is. He adores his Vo!

Pining with all of us! We had so much fun, and we didn't even catch anything.

Bye Bye Bottle....

It has happened, after 3 months of no more ninny, (breast / breastmilk) Logan has weened himself off the bottle and onto the sippy. The doctor told us to go directly from boob to milk in a sippy no bottle. However, we were already giving him the breastmilk in a bottle, so we didn't listen. Plus, she said to just give it to him and if he drank it great, if not it would be a miserable few days of him learning that is how he is to get his milk. Well, again, we didn't listen! We thought it was best to let him tell us when he was ready. So he always would drink a sippy of water and juice, he just refused to drink his milk that way. Every so often we would give him his milk in a sippy and he would take a few sips and then very politely say "no, no." But on Wednesday Daddy went to work and I, Mommy, thought it would be good to try it first thing in the morning for his first bottle and sure enough he drank the entire sippy of milk while eating breakfast and then because he wasn't finished, sat in his chair while watching "Little Bear" and drank the remainder. So now instead of cleaning bottles and sterilizing nipples we are washing and rinsing.......

THE SIPPY!

But here is our happy big boy at 1 year 2 3/4 months.

Caldwell Garden

After a couple weeks of some hard work Mommy and Daddy have finished the garden boxes. Daddy worked really hard on the picket fences while mommy pulled weeds, mixed dirt with pay dirt, planted seeds and watered. (while I napped everyday)

Everything was planted and the fence was halfway done.......then a big frost came in and they had to improvise on covering everything. Can you see the hail?

Now it is all done and I can't dig with my shovel anymore in the dirt or use my rake. The girls (Georgia and Bella) rarely get in there now to dig too! Maybe I will get my sandbox I want soon......then I will have something to dig in. (check it out, it's on my wishlist!)
Mommy's favorite picture of me right now!

Supercross.....Are you ready?

The girl holding the 30 second warning sign walks away and the gun shot goes off.....

Logan Caldwell comes in First! (yet again!)

P.S. this was before any of our gardening or weeding.

Nonna and Papa Jac!

On Saturday night, after daddy had been gone for three days straight, mommy invited Nonna and Papa Jac over to relax with us after our garden was in and daddy was home making margaritas! So when I woke up from my nice long nap, Nonna and Papa Jac showed up to enjoy the beautiful sunshine in our refreshed backyard. It is my new hang out after all. I showed Papa Jac the neighbors dog through the fence and where all the worms are.

After the wind started to build up and the sun started to go down we went inside for my early Easter present. Yay me! I got a nice pair of summer pajamas, TWO plates and a new sippy cup with a straw. Which I LOVE by the way! Thank you, Nonna and Papa Jac

After I was tucked away nicely in my crib (ship, is what it is called if you ask Tante Lauren, she said I go sailing through the night in it!) Daddy built a nice fire in the chimney outside and I am told they enjoyed lots of wine before going in to have some delicious Nutella soufle's, courtesy of Nonna.

The girls enjoyed the fire too! Especially eating the sparks that flew off of it.

The next morning, as usual, it was time for some fresh air and playing on my bicycle and in the dirt while they enjoyed Huevos Rancheros and coffee!

It was a FABULOUS weekend! Mommy will update with pictures of the garden later in the week.
